Warkany Syndrome 2 (Trisomy 8), is a chromosomal defect that has severe affects fetus.  Complete Wakany syndrome 2, also called,complete trisomy 8 leads to a miscarriage. Mosaic Warkany Syndrome 2(T8ms) occurs when there are only three copies of chromosome 8 in one portion of the cells. Individuals with trisomy 8 mosaicism  may have features such as; abnormally shaped ears, structual heart problems, mild to moderate mental retardation, and abnormalities in the eyes, palate, ears, bones, and tissues.

    Hello, We are in the process of testing a 4 year old that has this diagnosis for special education services. Is there any information you can provide regarding academic performance? He appears to have low cognitive skills plus very limited expressive language. He also has physical deformities and balance issues. This is a very interesting child. Any information would be helpful. (Warkany syndrome 2)
